Well the week started really well but soon descended into chaos. More on this later.
We stayed at Left of Field, a quirky caravan park just outside of the National Park. We stayed here last time as well & on that occassion we were chased out by bushfires.

Had a bit of rain on the first day.
A drive to Lawrenny Estate Distillery. Beautiful old house & buildings.

On the way we stopped in at Westerway Raspberry Farm for a ice cream & some Silvanberries.

Meadowbank Lake just past Ellendale is picturesque.

A walk along the Tyenna River found us some wildlife.

It was just after this that Ulrika starting coughing which we just put down to her allergy. The day after I was feeling lethargic & it wasn’t long before I had a headache & a sore throat. Being a couple of hours out of Hobart & no RAT in sight we decided to isolate in the van. Just as well. Ulrika got over her main symptons within a couple of days but i gradually got worse. If this is COVID with a jab, I would hate to have it without.
We were both due for 3rd shot at end of Jan. On the small sample of two I would also say that the Phizer that Ulrika got was much more effective than Astra that us old people got. Hopefully my taste & smell will come back!
We are both recovering fine & all we missed out on was a couple of day trips to Mt Pedder that we will catch up on another time.
