Day 414 – 421 29/6 – 6/7 Normanville

Another day at Port Adelaide looking at the S.A. Aviation Museum (Ulrika really loves the museums :).  Lots of great planes on display. Had to take her to lunch at a German themed pub & markets to keep the peace.

This is Rapid Bay. It is a small town that was built by BHP in the early 1940’s for the limestone. The jetty was built to load ships that took the limestone to Newcastle, Whyalla & Port Kembla. In the 1980’s Brighton Cement bought the quarry & the jetty was sold to the SA Govt. The old jetty is falling apart.

So my job for the last few days has been to chauffeur these two maniacs around.2018 02 Jul_8155

Took them to Victor Harbour & Granite Island for a look around.

Then to the Alexandrina Cheese Company for a tasting.2018 02 Jul_8188

Glenelg for lunch on the way to the airport. They have set up an ice rink on Glenelg beach. Couldn’t convince the girls to go for a skate. Dorothy, we hope you enjoyed your break from Mr Miller. See you in Brisbane some time in the future.

Have enjoyed the company of Mike & Sheela for the last couple of days. Wirra Wirra Winery for lunch, Normanville pub for dinner & lunch at The Victory. Lots of laughs & bottles of Church Block.IMG_0977
