About 60km or 45 minutes east of Albany is Cheynes Beach. It is just a little hamlet with a few holiday shacks & a caravan park. We are here for a couple of nights on the way to Bremer Bay for Easter. This is the view looking back over the town from the cliff track.
This is the view the other way.
Had a look at Waychinicup Inlet. What a magic place.
We even found a pod of dolphins feeding in the inlet.
Because we liked it so much we went back for a kayak today.
This is a oven that sealers built & dates back to the early 1800’s. The inlet has been used for a safe anchorage for a long time.
Went for a drive on Cheynes Beach. Nobody is catching any fish.
Loved this place, could live here (maybe not in winter).
Off to Bremer Bay tomorrow for Easter.
