After Kalbarri we spent a couple of nights at Horrocks Beach. A pretty little fishing village 80km north of Geraldton. It is quaint with its old fishing shacks. It was a tad windy but still very nice place.
The road from Horrocks to Northampton had the festive spirit.
As you can see I was very happy with my new bucket hat that Ulrika gave me.
Northampton is an old town that is the base for a huge wheat growing area. We were surprised how big this area was.
Lots of history in Northampton & some great looking buildings.
It has a long railway history that finished in 1957.
For a a town of 900 it has three pubs.
Ulrika has finally found some road side fruit, so of course we had to buy 4kg of plums @ $2/kilo. We now have plum everything.
We have now arrived in Geraldton where we will be spending Xmas & New Year. Yesterday was our 27th wedding anniversary (it would have been Mum & Dads, & it was Auntie Marj & Uncle Rays 61st wedding anniversary as well) so we had dinner at L’Italiano (we had our first date at Arrivederci @ The Junction) followed by Star Wars.
