Day 116 – 119 4/9 – 7/9 Tumbling Waters

Left Mt Bundy on Monday & drove a couple of hours up the road to stay at Tumbling Waters. It’s only an hour out of Darwin. On the way we saw a very rare sight, a freight train on the Alice-Darwin line.

A very rare site

Found another hot springs just up the road. Very relaxing.

Went for a drive out to Wagait Beach. It is on the other side of the harbour to Darwin. There is a ferry that takes you to Darwin in 15 minutes or its a 2 hour drive. Interesting place. They even have their own Country Club, unfortunately it is only open Thursdays to Sundays (the club not the town).

There is a WW2 wreck of a B24 Liberator that crashed on a training mission deep in the bush. All 5 of the crew died.

The caravan park at Tumbling Waters has its own croc enclosure. Was Ulrika thinking about feeding Billy to the croc?

We also visited the Territory Wildlife Park & caught up with some of the locals.

We are now in Darwin staying at the Barra Park Fishing Vanpark. Next job is to catch a Barra.

We have some friendly locals that are driving Billy nuts.

In Darwin for a week checking out the sites before Billy has a holiday & we head to Kakadu.
