Tuesday we played American Foursomes with Paul & Anita from Merewether. We had 75 which was good enough for 3rd on the day. This left us equal 3rd overall. The weather was much better with only a few showers.
Wednesday we played 4BBB Stableford. We played with Wayne & Jan from Mt Coolum (Wayne is the worlds best 23 handicapper, drives it down the middle, gets up & down from bunkers & putts like a demon. He had 3 – 4 pointers on the 3 hardest holes!).
We ended up with an ordinary 40 points after Ulrika slipped over on the 3rd hole & was covered from head to toe in mud. She was OK but it required an ensemble change. Played with her wet weather pants on & very little else! We ended up running 4th on the day & equal 3rd overall.
Weather was great.
Today we played the dreaded Aggregate Stableford. This always sorts out the men from the boys. It was a seeded draw & we played with the honeymoon couple Wayne & Norelle from Tamworth. It was most surprising to see us all turn up dressed as a team.

Finally found a bigger ball marker than Ulrika to put on the fridge.
Anyway in the end I had 36 points today & Ulrika had 26 points which was enough to give us 2nd place on the day & 3rd overall, the prize being a couple of overnight bags.
The best 23 handicapper in the world & his wife won overall.
Have had a great time at Sawtell. The caravan park is great & the surrounding area is pretty.
